Thankful Tuesdays in November

Thankful for That Day

This day, November 3, 2020.

For some it will be a day they will never forget.

It will bring uncertainty. Fear. Even dread.

For others it will bring illness. Cancer. Cov-19.  For others pain and grief.

For others it will be a day of heartache. Loss. Disappointment. Depression.  Anxiety.

For many it will bring unwanted change. Unplanned circumstances. Disappointing results.

This day the world cries out for justice. Understanding. Acceptance.

This day people long for rest. Restoration. Deliverance.

This day many struggle to find the one thing they perhaps need the most. Hope.

But one day this day will change. Change from this day to That Day…..

And on That Day….

Justice will be served.

Death and grief destroyed forever.

No more tears will dim our eyes.

No more pain. Ever again.

No more sickness of any kind.  No more Cancer. No more horrible diseases like Multiple Sclerosis.

No more Cov-19.  No more separation. Isolation.  No more masks.

No more hunger, heartache or disappointments.

No more suffering. Period.

Because of That Day there remained a rest to the children of God.

Because God has promised That Day we have Hope. An unshakeable and unbreakable Hope.

For our God has made us a promise about That Day. For His word tells us:

“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, I am making everything new! Then he said, Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21: 3-5 (NIV)

So on this day I can lift up my head no matter what comes.

No matter what this day brings I have Hope.

This day will end.

That day never will.

And this day I am thankful for That Day.

I am a country girl from a small town nestled in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. I love discovering something new in God's word, sipping on my favorite coffee and enjoying the simple things in life. And I love to write about all the everyday stuff in between. My hope is that the things I share on my page will encourage and inspire you to find God's purpose for your own everyday journey.
