Autumn Cider Pork Chops
When you come from the south, you grow up surrounded by mouth-watering food and good company. Pork Chops has long been a family favorite. Pork Chops with Gravy and biscuits was one of my sweet daddy’s favorite meals. I grill them from time to time, but they have never been one of my favorite meals. That is until I tried the following recipe for Autumn Cider Pork Chops.
The recipe is super easy to make, and when I use Pampered Chef RockCrock slow cooker, my leftovers go straight from the crockpot base to my refrigerator. This process makes warming up leftovers the next day a breeze.
The smell of apple cider and spices lingers in the air during the cooking process, making my home smell like one of my favorite fall candles burning. I save the apple cider I don’t use for another recipe to add warmth to a cool fall afternoon, making my favorite warm apple cider recipe with essential oils. (Recipe will be posted in upcoming Friday Fall Favorite Post)
I hope you enjoy both this delicious meal and the smell that fills your home.
Ingredients
1-inch thick Pork Chops
2 cups apple cider
4 cloves fresh garlic
1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
1/2 cup chopped celery

One teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose f.our

Trim excess fat from pork chops. Dredge chops in flour, salt, and pepper. Fry till golden brown on each side.
Place pork chops in the crockpot, layering the vegetable, seasoning, and sugar between the pork chops and on top. Pour cider over the smothered chops and cook on HIGH for 4-5 hours.
Next step, Enjoy!
See you in the field and the kitchen,
