My name is Susan Davidson, and I am the face behind Ruth216Girl.  

Ruth216Girl is my place on the web where I can share my heart for Jesus and the encouragement I glean from His word.  If your life is anything like mine, it isn’t always easy.  This field called life isn’t always shining IG feeds and happy FB posts. Sometimes you need someone to walk beside you, be honest enough to share the struggle, and point the way to living victoriously amid less-than-favorable circumstances.

Ruth 2:16 is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. During one of the most devastating times of my life, I discovered that God cared enough about this widowed woman named Ruth to drop her “handfuls of purpose” in the middle of a field of strangers and hardship.

 It turned out that those handfuls of purpose weren’t just about the provision He would give her that day, but it would be the beginning of all He would do to change her life forever. As she stepped out in obedience to care for her grieving mother-in-law, God met her with grace and favor. Friend, He will do the same for us.  We need to stay in our field of obedience, stay anchored in His Word, and continue to walk in His grace.

I have also found that when God gives me handfuls of purpose, He gives me enough to share.
